“When we first tested the idea
of in-room and lobby computers in a large downtown hotel in
Minneapolis in the mid-‘90s,” Mark says, “the
guests were enthusiastic, but the hoteliers were cautious because
they were uncertain about demand. Now they are racing against
each other to provide Web computers to create and deepen guest
loyalty.” Mark has been an advocate and creator of in-room
and common-area technologies for more a decade now, building
on his experience in providing network integration services
for complicated businesses like hospitals and clinics throughout
the state of Minnesota as the chairman and CEO of Network Engineering,
Inc. Later, he founded Integrated Network Technologies, where
he first designed the prototype product and service that has
become Wired4FUN!. “Even after all these years, only about
16 percent of business people travel with their laptops, and
leisure travelers leave them behind to pack other necessities.
